That sounds interesting - you pay a rental for the reader, presumably ?
And pay same for books ?

The nearest I think we have in UK in some libraries is the ready-loaded "Clipper" audiobook series - a preloaded device with the cover book on it, unabridged mainly. Quite good, small and convenient, and miles better than the old cassette plus 27 tapes if it was a long one !

Course, we can just d/load stuff onto our readers [well, some].

Sadly, I can't see much in the way of innovation in our libraries in the near future - just hanging onto them is the big push at the moment.....
