The shows I'm thinking of were in the 60's!
One couple had two sons. One son went to a garden party...
One couple had only a daughter, but a VERY large pet... cartoon pets.
There is some question as to which of these two showed mom and dad in bed first. But it was in the same year.
The show that was just mom and dad was actually the very first sitcom, back in the late 40's, and before the censors ruled that sleeping in the same bed was too suggestive.
