Yep, that's exactly what I think they think! That most folks buy a book, read it once, archive and never read again. And for folks who *do* work that way, organization is probably not as critical. But for the rest of us, they need to get a clue. People who buy readers generally have a love of reading in the first place, so there are plenty of us who want all our books on tap, without having to re-download them.
If you advertise being able to carry 1200 books on a reader, you darn sure ought to provide organization to handle same. And it shouldn't have to all be redone if you need to unregister/re-register your device.
As you say, it wouldn't hurt if they'd listen to the folks on their forum.

And don't feel bad -- I bought the Nook first by mistake myself. As I said, Sony really isn't advertising this difference like they should and could.

I didn't buy my Nook by mistake, but I also didn't realize at the time that the organization was so bad. And I bought BEFORE the Sony x50 series existed. I had liked the look of the organization on a previous model Sony I got to handle, but didn't like the screen glare of the older model. Once the x50 line arrived, I was soon interested, but didn't feel like I could switch readers that soon. And until I'd accumulated more books, Nook wasn't a problem, initially.
Once it was though, I was hungering for a Sony real bad. No regrets either! Except now I want a second Sony, having found that I like having two readers.
