Question Nook Color w/SD dual boot not such a great deal

Got a NC two days ago. Followed instructions on creating an SD card that runs Android using the boot to SD first capability. Looks like I was mostly sucessful but am now trying to learn the Android OS features to see if the effort was worth it. So far not so sure.

So far I have not been able to load any apps as the latest build of CM7 seems to no longer support the Reboot-restore function which is needed to expand the .zip files such as Gapps.

I can't install individual app like Google maps as Google says i don't have a registered device

No instructions found on how to find any usefull apps that can be installed from Market Apps either.

Since I can't install any free apps I am not going to buy the app I really wanted because it may not install either.

So far about all I can see as a plus is I can read email from my Gmail account. Composing email is slow and there is no auto complete from my Gmail contacts list.

Glad I didn't "Root" my NC as so far running CM7 is no real plus.
