That is a sad end to your Palm.
At least it fell in the tank and not an occupied bowl.
One of my biggest lifelong phobias is having to fish something important out of
that place. At least my present everyday ereaders won't fit in there, well not to the point of being totally submerged. I do keep a pair of tongs under the sink for just such emergencies. I even remove any rings I might be wearing, you know, just in case.
