As a guy who's seen a lot of women wearing a lot of lingerie, and only TWO of them 'really successful' with it, let me tell you what I learned from those two... (because I asked them 'why' they looked so spectacular when most women just look nice...)

They both spent a lot of time trying things on in the shops. I mean a LOT of time. Both of them would spend a large portion of their disposable income buying 'better quality' items, but even then, the real secrete to their success (and by 'success' I mean the lingerie created exactly the effect that was wanted,) was the time they spent trying on different styles to find just the pieces that looked right on THEM, not on the models in the catalogs.

If your guy is worth it, take the time to do it right. Otherwise it comes off looking like cheap 'Fredrick's of Hollywood' costume stuff.
