Hello everyone. I bought a Kindle for my dad a year ago because he's always reading but his eyesight isn't what it used to be and I thought the Kindle would help. He loves it! I didn't think much of them one way or the other until I was showing him how to operate his and I was smitten. My wife bought me one as a reward for giving up smoking and I can't believe how many books I've read since! I'm into my gadgets but the wonderful thing about the Kindle is that it does one thing and does it very, very well. It's so easy to take with me to work for lunch-time reading and I never lose the place any more. I got it with the Amazon cover with light and couldn't be happier.
I've got to say too that Calibre adds so much to the Kindle experience. Fantastic program and free too!
Good to meet you all and I look forward to gaining new friends and finding some hot tips on new authors.
