I have no set price. I do prefer to pay as little as possible and would probably have purchased more books if they were cheaper.
My price varies with my "need" to own the book. For something I'm not sure about even $1 might be too much and I will search in the library or choose something else that I know I will enjoy.
For something that I really want and can't wait for I will buy regardless of cost - so far I think my record is $22 for a just released book that I could have bought for $10 a few weeks later.

For me it is not so much about the price but the value of the book to me. Garbage is overpriced at 99 cents - a book I will enjoy reading many times - priceless!
