I'm glad the glitch got resolved. I'll be happy to make a couple of suggestions regarding forums here. You mentioned having a Kindle and using calibre. As you probably know already, MobileRead (MR) has a list of forums - that page is this link:

The stickies at the top of calibre's main forum and each of its sub-forums are good information, depending on what you're interested in dealing with at the time. Look for "start here" or "introduction to" type of phrases in the stickie titles to get started.
