@toenne: I have no idea why the prev/next text would disappear with some fonts, and I doubt that's anything I could do something about, unfortunately. Depending on exactly how much smaller the font is, it might simply be because Fontin just *is* a bit smaller/more cramped than the default font. You might also want to try a bci or autohint FT override, see if it helps... (Or the classic Fontin package, not the _K3 one).

(Note that you don't have to tinker with the linkfonts folder on your own when doing updates, if you're using custom fonts, it won't touch them, but if you're using the default hack fonts, they'll automatically be updated).
