I thought I was only one in the world to think angry bird is stupid and too childish. And many of the games I have played are of type:
1. Play, gain points. (Optionally buy points In-App purchase, I never do that silly thing)
2. Spend points on upgrades.
3. Play against stronger enemy, gain more points.
4. Repeat this for all the levels.
5. Last 2-3 levels: If you are low on upgrades, go play previous levels again. Then come back with full upgrades.
6. "Thanks for playing."

This format repeats itself in different candycoats.

The other simpler game type is MANY levels that uses same thinking skills again and again, just a different way. We call the type: Puzzle games. (Angry birds, Cut the rope etc.) They bore the heck out of me.

Few games are outstanding with psychomotor skills and coordination movements involved.

Nothing beats reading. Every book has completely different game. The game of anticipation, the game of suspense, the colorful and extremely varied imaginations, the "never put it down" induction, and most of all the integration of small bits of the story in ourselves at the pace with everyone's mental processing.
