Turn around, don't whisper out my name
For like a breeze, it'd stir a dying flame
I'll miss someone, if it eases you to know
So close the door lightly when you go
Who was the one that stole my mind ?
Who was the one that robbed my time ?
Who was the one who made me feel unkind ?
So fare thee well, sweet love of mine
Take your tears to someone else's eyes
They're made of glass
And are cut like wounded lies
Memories are drifting like the snow
But close the door lightly when you go
Don't look back to where you once hade been
Look straight ahead
When you're walking through the rain
And find a light
If the path gets dark and cold
But close the door lightly when you go.

Good morning, everyone! Happy Monday! Sunshine outside, happy smiling fish inside, fresh croissants on the table and a big mug of East India Company's "Keemun Downy Bud" beside it. What a wonderful way to start the day!

Yes, quite. But we yet are required to monitor ourselves in language and deportment. So far, I don't think anyone has been banned for anything in this thread. At least not that I'm aware of. And it's the only thread that that I know of where I need to go back three pages just to see the posts made while I slept. There is certainly a lot more activity in this thread than most, and we have managed to keep it a step or two below "X" rated. I think we're doing O.K...

Then I met my future wife over the Internet and the plans changed. 2 years turned out to be 5 years.

Wow! Do I ever disagree! I've fallen head over heels in love with four women in my life, and married three of them. None of the marriage dissolved because of lack of love. We simply grew in different directions, and remain good friends to this day.

I do not regret that I stayed/stay away from my parents. I think I am a bad son, but it is my life and I have only one. I do feel sorry for my parents though. Children meant a world for them

I feel exactly the same way. And later in life my mother even agreed with me, as she came to discover her own life, rather than one that centered on her children. I like the analogy found in the book "The Prophet," in the chapter on children. To wit; parents are like a bow and children the arrow. Parents aim the bow as best they can, but then must let the arrow fly however it will. The arrow can not be fulfilled staying next to the bow.
