If you think about it, the fact manufacturers don't include a case with a device, must mean it doesn't need one............
Therefore the screen won't get damaged, 'cos they've decided it's strong enough not to need any protection...............
Otherwise, they would feel obliged to provide a case, to save them having to replace the odd one or two that do get damaged - by, say, a nuclear strike or somesuch.......
Because they care so deeply, see ?
