I am disappointed a major ereader company wasn't selected. This would have been a good opportunity for B&N, Sony, Kobo, etc to put their ereaders in more people's hands. These are the kind of synergies they need to explore and develop. If people borrow these Boeye ereaders and like them, can they be purchased in the US?

Maybe they will not be used in the end. They probably won't sign the contract until after the ereader was beta tested first.

Added: No Pearl screen. Slowish processor. Not even presenting ereading at it's best. Evidently, they went for budget using a device older than the Kindle 3.
