If you perform a SYNC within Kobo Desktop with the Kobo bookstore, it downloads a Kobo format ePub, commonly called a kEpub which can NOT be opened by ADE.
If you select the option from the web site to download an
ADOBE DRM EPUB then you will get a true ePub, which can be read within ADE, but this file can NOT be opened by
Kobo Desktop.
