+1 your view of Android fans' probable reaction to Amazon. The android fanboy doctrine tells us that Android is all about freedom and openness-the unfenced range instead of " walled gardens" . They suspect (rightly, IMO) that Android is about to depart from the scriptures in a big way and set up the its own walled garden on the open plains of Android. They are already preparing to condemn the heretics that may stray into that forbidden garden and eat of the orange fruit therein .  |
Actually I'm not really sure how closed off it can be. The only thing I can think of is Amzon VOD for renting and buying movies. I mean their ebook store, their MP3 store, their cloud service, and their app store are all open to all Android consumbers.
