For the 1,000,000 time. There are other places you can buy books for the Kindle, even some that don't require stripping DRM, that are not Amazon. All the places you can download free books for the Nook, you can download free books for the Kindle. And Amazon does not partition the memory so people who don't buy books from Amazon are able to store the same number of books from other dealers as they would with Amazon purchased books.
BN is the only ebook retailer that I have heard of who sets aside for BN books and then other books.
And that is stupid. I can get setting aside memory for updates, I believe Amazon does that but not partitioning the memory so that people are inconvenienced if they chose to shop from a store other then BN.
And while it is a small inconvenience, it is an inconvenience. With the amount of memory available on the Nook there should be no reason for anyone to have to use an SD card due to lack of space.
