I hear you I had a hard time with that GPS issues since Maps and Gas Buddy are my number one apps. I eventually had to update the ROM which fixed those problem and a lot more stability issues.

I also want to stay away from Samsung but their hardware is so good. The flip side is the community support is excellent for their hardware it makes it easy to forget Samsung doesn't support their products since work arounds are easily found.

Nice, I'll have to check out the ROMS on Android forum. My GPS went from taking 10-15 minutes to connect, to taking 30 minutes, or not at all, and I have a strong Verizon signal in my area. I bought the phone though because it has an awesome screen.

I agree, HTC or Motorola, especially now that Google owns them, maybe we'll get more vanilla android devices. Their screens just aren't as pretty.
