The reason I did was that I got tired of hitting the "View Poll Results" every time I wanted to see the results of a poll that I didn't have an opinion on, or wasn't qualified to vote in (such as one aimed at iLiad users: I ain't one, so I can't really vote without skewing the results, unless there's an opt-out type choice).
Once you vote for any of the options, it always shows you the results when you return to the thread, without having to do anything special, so I thought, "why not include an 'opt out' type of answer?" So I did. Judging by the prevalence of them, I guess others liked the idea too.  |
Yeah, I got that line added on my last Poll
(in the Fictionwise forum).
However, there is another way to view the results without voting, just 'Log Out' and return as a Guest; not a Member. Then you can't vote, but can see the results.
Oh yeah, afterwards, be sure to login again.
p.s. reminds me of a funny incident when I first became a member here. I couldn't login the first few times because I kept putting my Username in the Password box, since the Username box was prefilled with 'Username'. Make Sense? Did I lose ya, eh?
