There's something I do not quite understand. When you sideload eBooks to the KT, all Calibre seems to be doing is copy the files to the device main storage or the memory card, possibly arranging them in neat directories and the DB part happens when you disconnect from the computer and the KT goes in "processing data" mode, so I do not really see how Calibre could be affected by a DB structure change...
