Hi there,
Changing languages should not cause any errors in the operation of the device.

- One issue occurred when I sent the reader to Sleep and afterwards when I went back to the book I was reading, the screen became unresponsive. I could still use the physical button, but the screen kind of died... I turned it off and back on and the issue disappeared.

Seems strange. Please let us know if this happens again. It should have nothing to do with the language changes.

- Another thing that I'm noticing is that the books in my home screen don't correspond with the ones I've selected as favorites and it's neither showing the one I'm currently reading. It's a little disturbing, because if I go back to the home screen I have to look for the book I'm reading and the progress of my read is not saved...

Your shortlist doesn't always correspond directly to your home screen. Your home screen shows you books you have newly added/purchased/synced or have recently read. If you haven't recently read books on your Shortlist, they will not appear on the home screen. Hope that explains things. Let me know if you have any more questions.
