In the mid and late 80's I traveled for a living. I was mostly in a different location every day. I would have killed for an ereader back then. I was usually out for 6 to 8 weeks at a time with an all time high of 18 weeks. My luggage was always full of books. It was a good thing that airlines did not weigh my luggage back then. There were even a few times when I would box up and ship books home if I had to many.

Welcome to the thread.

We don't count free ebooks here, so that may help you to at least reduce the headline number of your TBR list .

Several strategies for coping with our addiction have been suggested.
  • Always download a sample (where possible) and read that before deciding whether to buy a book
  • Add books to your wishlist(s) instead of buying immediately
  • Post here when the urge to buy comes upon you
  • Remember that there's almost certain to be a sale or special offer before you'd get around to reading the book anyway.
