In the mid and late 80's I traveled for a living. I was mostly in a different location every day. I would have killed for an ereader back then. I was usually out for 6 to 8 weeks at a time with an all time high of 18 weeks. My luggage was always full of books. It was a good thing that airlines did not weigh my luggage back then. There were even a few times when I would box up and ship books home if I had to many.

We don't count free ebooks here, so that may help you to at least reduce the headline number of your TBR list

Several strategies for coping with our addiction have been suggested.
- Always download a sample (where possible) and read that before deciding whether to buy a book
- Add books to your wishlist(s) instead of buying immediately
- Post here when the urge to buy comes upon you
- Remember that there's almost certain to be a sale or special offer before you'd get around to reading the book anyway.
