For serif/sans-serif readability, it depends on the display resolution: sans-serif fonts are generally more readable on low resolution display while serif fonts are much better for high resolution (> 200 dpi, like iPhone 4 retina display at more than 300dpi). With a 800x600 resolution for a 4.8x3,6 inch dimensions, the resolution is 167dpi, I'm not sure there's a real difference. Font weight (blackness) is probably a more important factor.
