I fear it made indeed be the case that no e-ink reader meets your criteria. Things like drm stripping and conversion would solve most of your issues, but I can completely understand not wanting to be bothered with those things. The ereader device market has its limitations. I enjoy my Kindle, but I convert, and I've given up being concerned about business practices. They're all amoral corporate jackals, so until
Habitat for Humanity makes an ereader I'm just gonna not worry about it.
Incidentally, the font re-sizing and bold text of e-ink readers is absolutely wonderful for those of us who like larger text. So much nicer than paperbacks, and even most hardcovers.
