I'll take half of this for $50, Merv... A sky island is an elevated eco system surrounded by, but completely separated from, a very different bio system. As in a high mountain hardwood forest surrounded by desert. Fairly common in New Mexico, U.S., and northern Mexico.
I haven't a clue as to the name of even a non-famous one!
Unless you're referring to the place where Lando Calrissian was administrator ("Cloud City") when Han Solo landed the 'Millennium Falcon'...
