No, it is not widely accepted. Obviously, Kenny, you failed to check the accuracy of this proclamation with Michelle Bachmann and Rick Perry. Both of them will tell you that one day god decided there should be a species called homo sapiens and so god killed off all other creatures that might infringe on the homo sapiens and snapped a few fingers, thereby creating homo sapiens everywhere.
Then a few hundred years later, god saw what a miserable job had been done and decided that homo sapiens needed an United States of America, run, of course, by selected christian european whites, a place god could finally be proud of, and so god snapped a few fingers and there it was -- the white christian United States of America.
Just ask and you will be enlightened. I just can't figure out why you insist on repeating these evolutionary falsehoods.
