As well as showing the book cover, I wish it would show you a summary. Whenever I pick up a book the first thing I do is look at the cover, then flip it over/open the cover to look at the summary, just to remind me what it's about before I start reading it.
I know you view the 'book description' via the same menu you see the cover, but that is only online via Amazon. I think this is really a missing feature of the Kindle. Perhaps it's just me though!
