A Nook Simple Touch has paging buttons, but apparently they're not easy to press and your mum wouldn't be able to use the inbuilt B&N store feature anyway. The Sonys do have paging buttons, though not optimally placed. If your mum is okay with using the touchscreen just to select books, then a Sony might be worth considering. I do use the page turn buttons often while reading left-handed, and I don't find the reading experience bad. I would think that the Pocketbook 360+, with its huge and well-placed page turn buttons, would be worth considering but for the fact that it's a 5" ereader, and thus might be too small for the elderly to use comfortably.

Good luck though, I hope you find something suitable.
