A dedicated ereader will still be the best choice for those people who just want to read, not be constantly distracted by catapulting birds, SMS, email and facebook.

I have yet to see a commuter on a train hold an iPad to their ear either.

Tablets will replace netbooks in the long term, but never an ereader.
