Did you install the zlib library? (SysZLib.prc) You'll need that to uncompress zlib-compressed documents.
Also, you want to be using the 1.8 viewer, not the 1.6.2 viewer that comes with Plucker Desktop.
And did you put the documents in the right directories on your external SD card? You can't just put them anywhere on the card and expect Plucker to see them. Try putting them in /Palm/Ebooks or /Palm/Launcher and you might have better luck.
