That's a good point. and without extra menu options (which annoys many I'm sure) I don't know how you could choose to have reflow or not, depending on the situation. It'd be one or the other.
For zooming in onto data on a single part (picture or table), I can see reflow being semi-idiotic (you zoom in and the table or list changes position or the photo shrinks to fit).
But the option to reflow would allow you to pick EXACTLY the size of text you want for the book, instead of choosing between a *measly* 8

.
I don't know if any reader has this but if the kobo has 17 sizes, you can see where the advantage would be.
