You're right: He doesn't get it.

What he does get (in my opinion) is his contention to the whole argument about Dorchester - BUT THAT'S NOT WHAT HE POSTED IN HIS INITIAL POST.

I would have felt absolutely no guilt whatsoever about downloading this book WHEN AMAZON OFFERED IT FOR FREE. In my opinion, he conflated two issues, using the Dorchester Issue to construct an argument about the members of MobileRead.

He's being cheated of money from Dorchester, but not by the members of MobileRead. We simply downloaded a free offering from Amazon. (In my case I missed the window of opportunity but, in hindsight, I'm glad that it is now "correctly" priced.)

I wish the author success in his efforts to recoup his lost income. His attitude toward the well-meaning members of MobileRead, I will not miss.
