I'm much less impressed now, anyway, and very glad I've got my x50's.
The german guy at the IFA Sony stand told me(roughly translated):

"You will be able to download any compatible content from any web page per WiFi using the built in web browser."

He went on to list a couple of sales portals incl. Thalia.de, Bol.de, Kobobooks.com and GoogleBooks which are all supposed to work per WiFi.

I asked him: "Even MS-Word Documents?" and he confirmed it.
