You are right. It's the NOOK COLOR that Amazon is going to compete with -- not the iPad. This foolery about Amazon coming out "hundreds less" -- well, there's ALREADY a tablet for hundreds less, it's called the NOOK COLOR.

Amazon will release it's own version of the Nook Color that will be nice for reading, web surfing, videos and light gaming. It will cost hundreds less because it's not going to be in the same class as the iPad.

And they will sell a couple million of these things -- just like Barnes and Noble have already been doing.
