Now all I need is a 'loop' pedal so I can make my own backing tracks and I'll be good to go. I'd like a used one if I can find it. A new one costs about $200.

I have a digital workstation that I use for playing piano and it suffices for background loops, although I haven't played much guitar in the last while and I'm scared to uncase the workstation until my son reaches a civilized age. I'm guessing another twenty years.
