Thank you to everyone for your replies. I understand now. I will try the 7 seconds thing but from what everyone says, you just leave the thing on and that's it. Fine by me.
As to the above quote, I can't see anywhere in the paper instructions that says how to power off only to make it sleep. Otherwise, I guess I wouldn't have asked, but thanks for your input anyway
