I remember that the regular bread also tasted like a pillow. Even as a kid I was a bread snob.
I couldn't stand sandwiches made from white bread.

I don't remember it being sliced. I remember little loaves of "Silvercup" white bread, but unsliced. That was the only part of it that I liked. I had never seen bread unsliced before.
