I keep a nice quick little visual in Calibre: If I haven't read a book yet, I leave the star ratings column unmarked. Once I've read the book, I adjust the star ratings column accordingly. Even the worst books get a single star rating from me, so if there are stars in the rating column, I know the book has been read...
