These are not DTP books, but editions published by Leisure. A number of authors have posted that they have contract disputes with Leisure, so they should take up the issue with them.

As to why they are free: it could be a publisher promotion (author paid only if contract with publisher allows), an Amazon promotion (publisher and author presumably paid) or a 'penalty price', for those who offer their books free elsewhere (Amazon contracts allow price matching or just paying the publisher/author at the lowest price found elsewhere, regardless of what Amazon pays).
