No the point is, if I am limited to making only 5, and I can sell them at $1000 each, I do NOT care what my competition sells their product for. IF they make 50 and sell them at $1 each, SO WHAT?

In fact, if I can only make 5 and can sell all 5 at $1000 each, teh next batch, I will raise the price to $1500 each, and if they sell out, then to $2000 each.

Learn basic supply and demand. If the demand outstrips the supply, charge more. You only need to lower prices when you have a lot of a product and are not selling it fast enough.
