Most of my friends don't read for pleasure; they have other interests. It bothers me only because there is no one who shares my particular reading interests so I don't have someone who would enjoy my book recommendations or get a kick out of certain paragraph or turn of phrase in a book. It doesn't make me think any less of them because they don't spend their free time doing what I do, or make me think that I am somehow superior to them because I read more than they do - that would be a silly attitude to hold, IMO.
