Emailing to Kindle strips Meta Tags?

Hi all,
I am new to all of this so please be patient with me. I also ran a search for this topic but didn't see anything so I thought I'd register and start a thread.

I am a new (and proud) Kindle owner. In addition to books I purchase at Amazon I already have a largish collection of ebooks which I have converted to Mobi. The problem is I like reading on my laptop and on my phone depending on where I am and what I'm doing. So I take advantage of the "Sync to the furthest page" feature. Despite the fact that A- that should read farthest and B I think it should sync to most recent feature I really like this ability of the whispersync.

Using these forums almost exclusively I managed to get the Mobi2Mobi GUI up and running. I now can look up the ASIN# for the book I already own and convert the file (along with adding the CDEContent tag: EBOK).

This works great but I am still trying to figure out a good way to get the files on all 3 of my devices. Working with dropbox helps - i can get it from my windows box where i do the conversions to my mac and phone to do the readings. But getting the files on my Kindle is a bit cumbersome.

I can plug in my Kindle - but i hate doing things wired that could be done on the cloud. However the problem is, emailing MOBIs to my amazon email address strips off the exth info I added with MOBI2MOBI.

Anyone have any tips or comments? I know this is a small problem but it seems like there should be an easy fix that i'm not thinking of
thanks!
