I think it was mentioned, but formatting quality varies massively between ebooks. It actually boggles my mind: publishers have been making books for years, they all look fairly similar... and yet eBooks -- more often than not -- look like garbage! Just make it look like a paper book... ARGHhhhhh..... Ah oops... </rant>

I either generate an LRF when it's feasible (not with Calibre because its LRF sucks IMHO), or I spend the time reformatting ePUBs with my own page template: I justify, add margins and headers (book/chapter). Basically, I make the ePUB look like a standard book!
