I've had my KT for almost 3 months now (since the day after release), and the only time I've seen a Storage Error was the first day's experimenting when I tried plugging in a micro-SD card from my camera with about 300 jpeg images on it and then had to unplug it after the unit was frozen on processing content for more than 30 minutes. I did a Factory Reset after that.
Since then I've read for hundreds of hours, bought books from the Kobo store via Kobo Desktop, downloaded free books from the Kobo store over wireless, sideloaded books from Calibre both via USB and via its network server over wireless, downloaded DRM epub library books via ADE, experimented with text files, pdf docs, and image files, deleted books on the unit and via Calibre. I haven't used the Favorites list except to try it once by adding a couple of books. I have used the web browser, but I think the only books I've downloaded via the web browser were from my Calibre network server. I experimented with Sketch, but don't use it. I checked out the Sudoku game, but I don't play it.
I didn't try any fancy content management or deleting with Calibre until their KT support was stable (about version 0.8.12 I think). I haven't tried deleting the 2 built-in books. I always eject before disconnecting, but I eject with both Windows and Calibre interchangeably. One thing I have never done is connect to a Windows 7 computer (always WinXP).
