My understanding is Apple will not support LTE with the iPhone 4 partly because AT&T isn't there yet and partly because Apple likes to let network issues settle a bit first. LTE is still in infancy globally. Nor does it have to support LTE this iteration. 3G/4G HSPA running to 14 mbps or 21 mbps is good enough. No one is going to avoid iPhone 5 in October because it "isn't LTE".
