Hi. I don't use Calibre to load my books directly onto my device. Rather I save the converted book on my computer and later shift books over to my reader.

My reader of choice is the Opus. I use the 1.6 firmware. But when I set Calibre to Opus in preferences it, by default, converts to ePub. My Opus uses mobi.

So my question is how can I set the default conversion format to mobi but still keep the Opus set in preferences.

I can of course change the output format to mobi each time I convert something, but I'd much rather have it set as the default.
