Many years ago, in the early days if ebay when you sent a cheque for payment and had to wait for it to clear, I bought a Gibson SG on the basis of a picture. It was a nerve wracking process but turned out fine - the seller had been entirely honest about every hairline crack in the paintwork. I'm not sure I would take the same risk now - which is kinda sad.
