For years I've read ebooks on my old Palm handhelds (from the Palm Pilot Personal through the Palm T|X) and more recently on my smartphone (Palm Pre). But I have finally acquired a "proper" eReader.

I've been dropping by my local Borders every week since the liquidation sale started to see how the Kobo Readers were selling, first week was 30% off (of the base price of $99.99) and there were about 110 of them on the shelves behind the cashiers. About week 3 it went to 40% off and there were maybe 70 of them on the shelves. This weekend dropped to 50% off and the wife and I dropped in over lunch today and there were 5 on the shelves! We bought three, one for each of us and one for our daughter! The cashier said that they did move some to another store though. Oh, and eReader accessories are 60% off.
At any rate, I'll probably be trolling around the Kobo part of the forums for a bit learning how to maximize the utility of my new eReader.
