The GSII has the Supler AMOLED Plus which is suppose to have a higher pixel density, brighter colors, and better batter life by 18%. In the article I provied for you in a different thread I was supprised they had 13hrs of life after heavy usage. Given that my phone is 4" and the G2II is 4.3".

Personally the 300dpi is just a marketing spin it is not true 300dpi

The quality is there, better than anything else on the market, of course there are some people that really hate OLED because their eyes pickup the pixels.
The battery life depends on so many things, but independently the OLED do perform better in independent tests. It sure doesn't help that they also only are produced for 4"+ size screen. Had Apple used these screens I'm sure you would see a battery increase on their iPhone.
Yes the cost is still high. With Samsung being the only maker and the technology being so new you'll only ever see them on their high end phones until the price drops.
