Short story anthologies and other nonfiction titles where you wish to see the start of each chapter. It's a good way to skip to the beginning of the previous chapter too. With Kindle you can do it with a single touch.
Also with some nonfiction, there is a chapter TOC at the beginning (particularly a factor with the Nook, because its TOC can't show hierarchies.
